Estate security app for guards and security teams

Manorlogic gives estate guards one app for the gate. Scan a visitor pass or type its six-digit code, see a clear yes or no, and log the entry. The app needs a connection. It is in development, and the apps are not in the app stores yet. We agree with each pilot estate how guards get them.

Manorlogic is in development. We are preparing a first pilot estate in Nigeria; the resident and security apps are not yet in the app stores.

Illustration The guard sees a clear verdict. Illustration. Built from the real screens, with sample data. A guard's phone showing a scan frame and a keypad, then a green Verified card with the visitor's name and host unit. A second panel shows Already used in amber and Expired in red. Sample data.

The guard checks the pass. The system keeps the record. When a resident says "I did not allow him in", the log can show whether the pass was valid, whether the resident approved and the time. This page is for guards and for the supervisors and security companies who answer for them.

A shift with Manorlogic

  1. Scan the pass or type the code

A visitor shows a QR code. The guard scans it, or types the six-digit code if the QR will not scan. The screen shows a colour-coded verdict: valid, expired, cancelled, not yet valid or already used, with the visitor's name, the host unit and the time window.

  2. Log the entry

The guard taps Entry. The server checks the pass again at that moment and counts the use, so a second guard trying the same single-entry code is refused. Exit is logged separately and never uses up a pass.

  3. Handle the visitor with no pass

Enter the name, pick the unit and send a request to the resident. The resident approves or declines on their phone, and requests lapse after 15 minutes. If the resident approves, the guard logs the entry as a manual entry, with notes.

  4. Log the parcel

Record each parcel with photos. The household is told, and the parcel is marked collected or returned.

  5. Report trouble

Residents can press a panic button, and the alert reaches guards and managers. Guards file incident reports and an SOS from the app. Guards acknowledge alerts on the web gate console.

  6. Hand over the shift

The outgoing guard records a handover. The next guard sees who is still inside and which incidents are open.

What the record is for

Entries and exits are recorded with who logged them and when, and entries are not edited. A correction is a new entry. That means the log names the guard who let someone in. It also shows a guard who checked a valid pass and followed the resident's answer. We built it to protect a guard who did the job properly as much as to hold anyone to account.

What guards see, and what they do not

Guards see

  • The pass verdict, who is inside, who is expected today and recent gate activity.
  • Handover notes from the previous shift.

Guards do not see

  • Invoices and levy balances. A guard cannot reach finance.
  • The estate's group channels.

Questions security teams ask first

Will my guards cope?

The screen asks a guard to scan or type six digits and read a yes or no. If your guards cannot use a phone, Manorlogic is not right for your gate yet.

What if there is no signal?

The gate app needs a connection today. If the network drops, the guards use your existing paper process until it returns.

Does it replace guards?

No. A guard still checks every visitor and opens the gate. Manorlogic checks the pass and keeps the record.

Can it read number plates?

A guard can type a vehicle plate as a note on a gate entry. Plate-reading cameras are not built.
